Date:2017-03-14 Source:www.chinatrucks.com
www.chinatrucks.com: On March 9, 2017, SAIC-IVECO Hongyan’s first CKD M100 heavy truck rolls off the production line successfully in Nigeria, marking another upgrade of SAIC-IVECO Hongyan’s overseas strategy.
With the boosting of national overseas strategy of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and adjustment for industry policy in other countries, SAIC-IVECO Hongyan keeps up with the changing times to adjust overseas strategy accordingly. Since the initiation of Nigerian CKD (Completely Knock Down) Hongyan heavy truck assembly project in 2015, work including the design, building and equipment installation for the plant is finished in one year, under the jointly efforts made by multi-parties from both home and abroad. In March 2017, the trials for equipment and assembling line are officially completed. And on March 9, it witnesses the success rolling off of CKD heavy truck, which is contributed to the full cooperation between SAIC-IVECO Hongyan and Nigeria CKD factory.
It is reported that the modern plant is designed in strict accordance with SAIC-IVECO Hongyan’s global standard, with M100 series as the key assembling model. According to the plan, the heavy trucks produced in the new plant will be sold in Nigeria first. Meanwhile, other African countries will be involved.
To meet the demands in overseas market, the output of standardized and proper products reflects Hongyan’s sensitive marketing insight and quick response based on the local market experience. “CKD mode” is another brand new platform for SAIC-IVECO Hongyan’s overseas strategy. With the success initiation and volume production in CKD plant in Nigeria, SAIC-IVECO Hongyan’s strategy in Africa will be put forward with acceleration.
