Dongfeng’s First ZD30 National Ⅵ Engine is Successfully Ignited

www.chinatrucks.com: Recently, Dongfeng’s first ZD30 national Ⅵ engine is successfully ignited in Shanghai. The historical moment of ignition is witnessed by leaders and experts from Dongfeng, AVL, BOSCH, etc.
With the constant upgrade of emission standard and Dongfeng’s high importance attached to emission, in August 2016, the development for ZD3 national Ⅵ engine product was officially started. The engine was jointly developed with the international renowned engine consulting company AVL. ZD30 national Ⅵ engine is upgraded based on National Ⅴ standard. In addition to compliance with the national Ⅵ emission standard, the engine is rather competitive in terms of power, economy and NVH performance, thus more suitable for medium and high level light trucks.
The successful ignition marks Dongfeng ZD30 engine project has made temporary success and achieved an interim result, laying a good foundation for follow-up development. It also indicates that Dongfeng has taken the lead in R&D of light-duty engine.
