Michelin’s New X Multi Truck Tyre Range Debutes at the UK's CV Show
Date:2017-05-02 Source:transportengineer
www.chinatrucks.com: Michelin’s new X Multi truck tyre range debuted at the CV Show this week (25-27 April), with the tyre manufacturer promising up to 20% more mileage for no extra cost.
The new tyres are available immediately and are offered in four key fitments: 315/70 R 22.5 multi-position and drive tyres, and 385/55 R 22.5 steer and trailer tyres.
The range will be expanded with the launch of 295/60 R 22.5 and 315/60 R 22.5 X Multi D in September 2017, followed by the 315/70 R 22.5 X Multi D Remix early in 2018.
Each tyre contains an RFID chip, giving operators access to digital services, enabling individual tyre identification, improved fleet and stock management, and improved traceability of operations.
“The new X Multi range offers outstanding grip and greatly improved longevity, taking tyre performance to a completely new level,” says Chris Smith, Michelin’s marketing director north Europe – truck and bus.
“ It also underlines Michelin’s commitment to ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership for our customers, since the new tyres don’t cost a penny more than the ones they replace.”
The X Multi range can be regrooved and retreaded using the manufacturer’s Remix process.
