Updated Version of Jiefang J6 Launching Across China
www.chinatrucks.com: On June 9, 2017, the updated version of Jiefang J6 was put on the market across China and the ceremony took place in Shenzhen. FAW Jiefang again takes the lead in innovation by launching its updated version of Jiefang J6.
Six innovations and 75 upgrading for the updated version of Jiefang J6
At the ceremony, Wang zhicai, general manager and secretary of party committee of FAW, points out that updated version of J6 made some updates to J6 and has gone through a series of tests including million road reliability test, extreme environment test that was carried out under extreme high-temperature, low temperature or on high Plateau. With advanced technology, stylish design and rich configuration, the high-end updated version of Jiefang J6 is expected to meet different demands in various markets.
According to Zhang Song, product manager in tractor unit of FAW, the new J6 made six innovations on appearance, intelligence, power, fuel economy, safety and comfort, and 75 upgrading, which implies Jiefang’s user-centered and market-oriented design concept.
The new J6 has two engine options: 460hp for light goods market and 500 hp for efficient logistics segment. The engine fitted on the 500hp is said to be the most advanced and fuel-saving engine with 8 core technologies, 1.5 million life cycle, and 100 thousand oil change interval. So it ensures great reliability and users’ demands are fully met.
Under the premise of power and payload unchanged, new J6 is given 15 light-weighted updates in technology, material and design. According to the technicians at the scene, the overall weight of new J6 is reduced to 8.3t, the lightest among the same horsepower range. Coupled with the advanced fuel-economy technology, the new J6 will be of great benefit to customers as it loads more and travel faster.
In addition, new J6 gets improved in driving safety with additional aerodynamic package and LED headlamp, 360 degree panoramic camera, forward collision warning system, lane departure warning System and remote video monitor.
