The Full Range of Euro VI Engines Make Yuchai a World-Class Enterprise
www.chinatrucks.com: After the birth of four types of Euro VI engines early this year, Yuchai successfully developed seven more Euro VI engines in its test center on July 13. So far Yuchai has more than ten types of Euro VI engines, marking that the full range of Euro VI engines have been prepared to take competitions with world-famous brands in international market. According to the test results, the seven engines were proved to be better than international similar products in terms of product performance, indicating a great leapfrog of Yuchai in the process of internationalization.
Three Euro VI gas engines of K13N, S04N, and 6JAN have adopted the international mainstream system of equivalent ratio combustion & three-way catalytic converter & EGR system, and applied the international advanced single-point continuous fuel injection system as well as the original integrated air-intake mixing measure module, thus realizing a highly accurate control and achieving a better balance of engines in fuel economy and exhaust emission.
It is learnt that Yuchai Group will invest RMB 5 billion into the R&D of Euro VI engine, and achieve transformation and upgrading of hardware, software, and product platform. By taking the Euro VI engine as an opportunity and benchmarking against the leading rivals, Yuchai Group will start an overturning reformation in production system, quality system, purchasing system and production procedures, and strive to building itself into the world’s first-class enterprise in 2020. For this purpose, more than 10 senior experts specializing in lean manufacturing, R&D, quality control, supply chain and HR from globally renowned enterprises such as Toyota, Honda and Cummins were introduced to Yuchai in succession for planning and guiding the development of internationally competitive products and the corresponding management system.
At the engine ignition ceremony, Yan Ping, Chairman of Board of Directors of Yuchai Group, stressed that the R&D of Euro VI engine is the only way and the symbolic strategic measure for catching up the world’s first-class enterprises. The company will coordinate and allocate the effective resources to guarantee the R&D of Euro VI products. With high standards and strict requirements, Yuchai Group will definitely win the battle in the R&D of Euro VI engines.
