Dongfeng to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation with Huawei
On August 16, Dongfeng Motor Group (hereafter referred to as Dongfeng) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei Technologies, Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out cooperative programs in a number of areas, such as smart vehicles, internet-connected vehicles, electric vehicles, and shared vehicles.
By pooling the competitive technologies in their respective areas, Dongfeng and Huawei will jointly develop the next generation electric vehicles with higher level of internet-connectedness and intelligence.
In addition, they will cooperate in areas like cloud computing, big data, information security and industrial internet of things, helping Dongfeng realize its business transition.
By working more closely on artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G mobile telecommunications, Dongfeng and Huawei aim to push forward the fast and sound growth of China’s smart vehicle industry and provide more enjoyable travel solutions for customers across the globe.
