JMC Weilong Trucks Start Journey on Chongqing-Singapore-ASEAN Transport Route
On December 6, Chongqing-Singapore-ASEAN Road Transportation Route was officially launched for trial operation. It is hoped that the new route will contribute to the success of China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Weilong heavy-duty trucks made by JMC were also put into operation on this important route.
Starting from Chongqing, all Weilong trucks carrying goods has started its 4,500 km journey on December 6 and will travel through Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and finally reach their destination in Singapore in 7 days.
Weilong 6×4 heavy-duty truck, made by JMC, is equipped with JX6D13.420A5 engine with National V Emission Standards and FAST 12JSD220TA 12-speed manually controlled transmission gearbox. It boasts a maximum torque of 2,150 N.m and 420 horsepower. Thanks to its high-pressure common rail, four valves and four strokes, the truck achieves more exhaustive combustion and thus higher energy efficiency.
In terms of safety, Weilong is equipped with electronically controlled engine assisted braking system. In addition to its front brake + ABS, it effectively cuts the braking distance and fully ensures the vehicle’s safety.
