Dongfeng Sold 154,000 Units Vehicles in 2018
On January 15, at Dongfeng Automobile 2019 Business Conference, the auto maker revealed that it sold 154,000 units vehicles in 2018, up by 9% year on year. In addition, its market share reached 7.4% in China. Its annual sales volume of light trucks once again reached 100,000 units, up by 9% year on year. Its sales volume of new energy vehicles exceeded 30,000 units, up by 13% year on year.
Targeting the last-mile logistic market, Dongfeng Tuyi light truck, which made its debut in 2018, sold 7,000 units. Dongfeng Duolika D9 sold 12,000 units, up by 150%. Dongfeng light engineering vehicle, Furuika sold 12,715 units, up by 19% year on year.
In the sanitation vehicle, recreational vehicle, vehicle for transporting dangerous chemicals, Dongfeng also made breakthroughs in sales, with their sales approaching 30,000 units.
In 2019, Dongfeng aims to increase its total sales volume to 160,000 units with its market share reaching 7.6%. By 2023, its annual sales volume is expected to reach 300,000 units with a market share of 16%.
In the next five years, the automaker is planning to develop over 10 brand new vehicles, including light trucks, buses, pickups, and new energy vehicles.
