FAW Jiefang Rolls Off the 5,000th Locally Built Truck in South Africa

Recently, the 5,000th unit Jiefang truck was assembled in the factory of FAW South Africa. At the ceremony to mark the historical moment, workers who could hardly contain their excitement expressed their confidence in the company’s continued growth in the future.
Jointly funded by FAW and China-Africa Development Fund, FAW South Africa started operation on July 10, 2014. Currently, FAW South Africa is specialized in developing, producing and marketing trucks and providing related services. On the business philosophy of “Built in South Africa for Africa”, the company has been gaining a fast increasing presence in South Africa and its neighboring countries.
