Dongfeng Shares Company aims at new energy vehicle
(chinatrucks.com, May 27, 2010) It is learned by reporter that Dongfeng Shares Company have totally designed and developed 12 electric vehicles, including electric buses, electric trucks, MPV, SUV, pickup, mini buses, and etc. The 61 SUV and pickups have been launched in ten cities since 2006.
At present, new energy vehicles of Dongfeng Shares Company have walked out of test stage after many years’ research and development, and it has come to market stage. Batch produced electric vehicles have been delivered at the beginning of 2010. During the example operation stage, 29 security prevention activities have been conducted, and 25 of them have been completed by now, and 4 of them are processing at the moment.
It is the first time for Dongfeng to realize vehicle long distance dynamic monitor during the example operation, and it is the first time in China too. Promotion of new energy vehicles is the important way to develop low carbon economy. It is suggested that the related national department shall publish electric vehicle technology standard as soon as possible. Enterprises will be encouraged to develop electric vehicle facing with the public, especially the new electric vehicles, and establish the incentive mechanism of new energy industry.
