First batch alcohol power truck of Scania is showing
(chinatrucks.com, June 4, 2010) First batch alcohol power truck of Scania is officially showing at the public on June 2, 2010.
Scania has cooperated with each party to establish infrastructure facilities for alcohol supply. Once the facilities are ready, the small transportation company will invest to alcohol power vehicles. The efficiency of third generation alcohol engine has reached the diesel engine standard.
Scania is the only manufacturer who is mastering the diesel alcohol technology. New alcohol engine is the updated product of Scania diesel engine 9L, and it has been equipped with EGR system. This engine is in accordance with EEV standard, which is stricter than Euro IV. Euro IV was introduced to European Union on October, 2009.
As for engine 9L, it has a very great performance. 270 horse power and 1200 torque enable the buses have excellent react and operation performances.
