Cummins to expand capacity
(chinatrucks.com, July 15, 2010) The largest heavy duty diesel engine manufacturer in North America, Cummins, has announced on July 12th that Cummins is to expand capacity of at American Seymour production base. The expansion capacity work will be completed at the mid of August.
Cummins is to invest 100 million dollars to expand large horsepower technology center of Seymour production base. At present, this production base has 450 employees. The expansion activity will create about 200 working posts, including engineering and production.
Cummins represents that the capacity and production ability of Seymour production base will be raised after the expansion activity. The newly facilities include an assembly line, a painting area and a production test lab. Besides that, a new large displacement engine is to be produced at the production base.
