JAC Navistar MaxxForce engine debut in Engine China 2012

www.chinatrucks.com: The 11th Engine China kicked off in Beijing on Sept. 12, and JAC Navistar takes MaxxForce engine showed for the first time, together with JAC HFC4DA1(2.8L) diesel engine, and MaxxForce 3.2L, 4.8L, 10L and 13L diesel engines.
JAC 2.8L diesel engine, MaxxForce 3.2L high-speed light-weight and 4.8L engines are the main products in the first stage of the joint venture. Lu Xin, GM of Navistar China Development, Planning and Communication, is stated that 2.8L engine is currently produced by JAC right now, and joint venture will support on production craftsmanship, quality control, technology upgrades, and reducing costs.
JAC 3.2L, 4.8L and the jointly developed 7.2L engine will shoulder JAC complete bus upgrades and matching tasks. In terms of technology, MaxxForce engine can also provide leading power and torque and longer use life. It is learned that the use life for 3.2L engine are 500,000 km, and 750,000 km for 4.8L and 7.2L engines. All the three engines passed Euro Ⅴ emission certificates, and no SCR after treatment system is needed and just the combustion in cylinder can meet the emission standard.

JAC has tested the engine in many circumstances, its starting performance is well in -30℃, and fuel consumption of 3.2L engine is 5-8% less than domestic high end engines and 1-2 less decibel.
To provide competitive price, the joint venture sent marketing stuffs to local markets to look for suppliers for key parts, together with their service networks construction and training.

Mr. Lu revealed that they may also develop new platform for local markets. And their products may also supply JAC multi-functional vehicles and light buses. In the long run, the joint venture will introduce MaxxForce 10L and 13L engines.
