Delivery ceremony of the new Volvo FH/FM
The orders for new FH/FM range includes ten FM 460 6x2 trucks purchased by Yiwu Jinchi Logistics’, eight FH460 6x2 purchased by Yangzhou Sanxiao Logistics’, as well as orders from Chengdu Zhiqin Logistics and Chengdu Zhonghao Logistics of China.
Zhou Zhili, GM of Yangzhou Sanxiao Logistics, told journalists during the ceremony that his company purchased twenty-two Volvo trucks last year and drivers have been very impressed by the safety and comfort. Based on strong confidence in Volvo Trucks’ products and brand image, this year he decided to make a further purchase of eight high-end tractors dedicatedly for the lines of Shanghai-Lanzhou, Shanghai-Inner Mongolia, and Shanghai-Xinjiang. He believes that the new range will significantly reduce drivers’ pressure, enhance transport capability and stimulate the drop and pull transportation. Mr. Zhou forwarded that the key advantage of the new range lies in its high standard of uptime, with trucks able to keep good performance over two years without major maintenance and repair. Furthermore, in terms of the costs of whole lifecycle, the investment in Volvo trucks is quite economical.
Delivery Ceremony of Western Market
Huang Quanjun, GM of Chengdu Zhonghao Logistics expressed as well his confidence in Volvo trucks: “In my opinion, the best way to retain customers is to continuously improve service quality, mainly by improving timing and efficiency. That’s why I chose Volvo Trucks. The new FM4X2 tractor is more powerful than previous versions, greatly reducing the transport time while ensuring the safety of transport. This improves timing as well as branding. I’m sure we will become more competitive by purchasing the new range.”
The new range enjoys outstanding performances in dynamic system and manipulation. Based on customer’s transportation business demands, the truck is equipped with the most suitable diesel engine, as well as I-shift. Through these technologies, the new FH/FM is able to reach a perfect balance in terms of power, speed and fuel efficiency, maximizing productivity and bringing a larger profit to customers.
Fuelwatch Competition West China Semi-Final concludes
As the truck used for the Fuelwatch competition, the new FH greatly enhances the driving experience by improving manipulation and the driving environment. The ground-breaking Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS) makes driving a truck feel like driving a car and updated cab designs makes the best use of ergonomics. For example, the more upright A-pillars of the new Volvo FH cab make it more spacious than before and the driver’s seat offers improved lumbar and side support and can slide a further four centimeters back. Thanks to the new steering wheel adjustment system, the steering wheel can be angled an additional 20 degrees compared to the previous version, and a widened bed of 815 mm and includes a new type of mattress. Through the committed efforts from Volvo Trucks to improve the driving environment, drivers are able to enjoy a better driving experience, which will help them drive better thereby increasing company profits.

He was really excited about his result and shared: “Two years ago I was honored to participate Fuelwatch Global Final in Australia as the Fuelwatch Ambassador, which inspired me to take part in the Fuelwatch Competition. Over the last two years, I have been trying through every measure to improve my fuel efficiency by improving my driving skills. The comfort and manipulation of the new range is excellent, especially the VDS, which makes the driving more accurate and easier. Furthermore, the design of the instrument panel gives me a clear view of figures and the unique design of the rear view mirror significantly reduces my blind spots. Driving the new range is really exciting.” Next, Cui Neng will compete in the China final. The champion of the final will represent China in the global competition in Goteborg, Sweden, headquarters of Volvo Trucks, in September 2014.
