Sanxiao Logistics Chooses Volvo Trucks New FH to Update Freight Flight Transport Model
www.chinatrucks.com: July 18th 2014, Shanghai, China – To celebrate the freight flight model of transportation and the delivery of new Volvo Trucks range, Sanxiao Logistics held a grand ceremony at Sanxiao Logistics Park. The new FH 460 62T models that Sanxiao Logistics purchased will be officially assigned for the long-haul transport routes of Shanghai-Lanzhou and Shanghai-Inner Mongolia.
Founded in 1998, Sanxiao Logistics has been working hard for more than 15 years to become the leading company they are today. They now have over 1,000 vehicles in a variety of models, with a nationwide logistics network, branches throughout east, central, north, southwest and northwest provinces and an annual output of nearly RMB 500 million. On top of that, Sanxiao has already upgraded from a traditional logistics system to a “freight flight” model logistics system. From March 2013 to the present they have already completed dedicated express lines from Shanghai to more than 10 locations including Xinjiang, Lanzhou, Inner Mongolia, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi’an, Beijing, Guangzhou and Wuhan. Their goal is to build China’s most advanced and influential express logistics network and open a new era of high-speed logistics in China.
Back in 2013 when Sanxiao first purchased imported trucks they chose Volvos and were extremely pleased with both the trucks and the service. Now as they are developing the freight flight business model, Sanxiao has once again chosen Volvo Trucks, and is actually the first logistics company in China to purchase the newest version of the Volvo Trucks FH Range. Zhou Zhili, chairman of Sanxiao Logistics remarked, “The vehicles we just purchased will be expressly dedicated to the express route between Shanghai and Xinjiang. Though this route is long, we promise our customers that their shipments will arrive within 60 hours. Sanxiao has always placed immense importance on honoring our promises and providing reliable service to our customers. In turn, the requirements are higher for our completion rate and safety. We look at the investment during the truck’s entire life cycle and pay attention to the truck’s quality, safety and fuel economy, so we choose Volvo. We purchased 8 of the newest FH models, fully equipped with the Volvo’s advanced technologies including VDS (Volvo Dynamic Steering), ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), VEB (Volvo Engine Brake), Driver Alert Support, Lane Keeping and Changing Support and more. These technologies will significantly increase the safety of our logistics practice. We are proud to announce that Sanxiao Logistics is using the world’s safest trucks to transport our goods safely to their destinations.”
When discussing the “freight flight” model, Chairman Zhou Zhili brought up the importance of trucks’ uptime. “Outstanding uptime is the key to profitability in this industry, and is also the cornerstone of Sanxiao’s freight flight model. Furthermore, we provide our fleet with Volvo Trucks’Gold Service Agreement, allowing them to take full advantage of Volvo Trucks’ after-sales service and comprehensive, professional protection, ensuring the continuous operation of our fleet. This also frees up the time of the other employees and allows them to focus all their energy on expanding business.”
During the ceremony, Sanxiao Logistics is granted as the “Best Business Partner of Volvo Trucks’ Gold Serivce Agreement” by Mr. Sirikittiwatn Kamlarp, Vice President of Volvo Trucks China. Besides the excellent vehicles, the perfected after-sales service networks and service systems is another major reason many logistics companies favor Volvo Trucks. Gold Service Agreement is advanced in its comprehensive maintenance program formulated with professional guide and customer engagement. As the most profound service program, it covers all truck maintenance services, including truck repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring that every truck’s uptime is at its highest possible levels. What’s more, using innovative communications technology, Volvo can closely monitor each truck’s operating condition, then according to it’s condition schedule preventative maintenance. Through real-time monitoring, workshops will receive information informing them which parts will need to be replaced so that when the truck arrives at the service station the parts are already waiting for them, reducing repair time and increasing operational time. Of course, unpredictable accidents do occur; therefore Volvo Trucks also provides 24-hour emergency assistance, helping their customers resolve their problems in as short a time as possible. Volvo Trucks’ Gold Service Agreement provides a comprehensive maintenance plan, covering the maintenance costs of each truck in the fleet for 5 years or 1.2 million driving miles. With Volvo’s help, customers are able to increase their productivity and profitability, as well as greatly decrease the losses created by trucks in downtime.
Sanxiao is updating its business model to freight flight for two reasons: on the one hand, the market demands it; while on the other, Sanxiao wants to improve itself to become a higher service platform which can help manage clients’ supply chain and provide integrated logistics service. Currently, Sanxiao Logistics has already reached long-term agreements with several courier companies including: SF Express, ZTO Express, STO Express, and YTO Express. Once add the after-sales service and support provided by the all-new Volvo Trucks FH range, Sanxiao Logistics freight flight routes are bound to set new industry standards in many areas including uptime, productivity, fuel efficiency, safety, security and driver appeal. This will make Sanxiao Logistics become more competitive and attractive to drivers, and allow them expand their business scope, increase profits and provide their customers with comprehensive and reliable support.
