Weichai Power Achieved Profit Growth of 80.57% in the First of 2014
www.chinatrucks.com: On August 29, 2014, Weichai Power released its sales report of half a year: the operating receipt of Weichai Power registered 341.11 billion yuan, up by 10.32% year on year and the net profit was 37.65 billion yuan, up by 80.57% year on year.
Weichai Power said that new products and creative business models were contribution to the breakthrough growth of domestic and overseas business.
According to the report, Weichai Power totally delivered 168,300 units of heavy-duty engines, up by 8.5% year on year, taking 39.2% shares of the over 14t heavy duty truck markets which was up by 0.7% compared with last year.
In the first six months, the company delivered 213,500 units of 10L, 12L and 13L engines, heavy-duty engines had a good performance in the heavy truck market, 5t loaders market and large coaches market. As the same time, WP5, WP7 engines which the company developed with intellectual property rights matched more vehicles in the auto market, and totally delivered 7,246 units, up by 72.3%.
On heavy duty vehicles, Shacman, the subsidiary of Weichai Power delivered heavy trucks 49,500 units in the first year, up by 5.3% year on year, ranked NO.5 in the domestic heavy truck manufacturers. On transmission business, Fast Gear Co., Ltd. which is also the subsidiary of Weichai Power totally delivered 390,000 units of transmissions, up by 21.8% compared with last year.
