Analysis of China truck export in 2011 Ⅰ

www.chinatrucks.com: China truck overseas markets are rather hot compared with largely decreasing domestic markets in 2011. According to statistics by CAAM, 2,397 semi-trailer tractors were exported in July, up 58.11% over June and up 48.24% over last year, and the figure was 12,359 units from Jan. to July, up 37.83% over last year. In overseas markets, China truck makers are competing directly with Scania and Volvo etc. international brands, and there is still a long way to go for China truck manufacturers.

10,800 Sinotruk vehicles sold from Jan. to July, up 20%

Sinotruk secured 15,000 truck orders in the first seven months, and 10,800 units have been exported, up 20% over last year, and the sales targets for this year are 20,000 units. Sinotruk products have entered ninety-six countries in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.

6,000 Shaanxi Auto trucks exported Jan. to July, up 20%

Exports of Shaanxi Auto trucks ranked the second. Their export targets are 10,000 units. Shaanxi Auto has divided their products into eight catenaries, including highly reliable trucks, economic cold area trucks, and enhanced truck models for cold areas. Since entering Algeria in 2007, Shaanxi Auto has taken 80% market shares on heavy trucks.

Dongfeng commercial vehicles sold 4,700 medium and heavy trucks Jan. to July, up 9%

154,000 Dongfeng medium and heavy trucks were sold from Jan. to July. And 4,700 Dongfeng medium and heavy trucks were sold, among 31,200 Dongfeng vehicles in the first half year. Southeast Asia and Middle East are still two major export markets for Dongfeng, and Dongfeng sales of medium and heavy trucks tripled in Southeast Asia in recent years.

Beiben export revenues up 220% Jan. to July

Export of Beiben trucks increased largely from Jan. to July, and contract revenues were 1.56 billion Yuan, up 159%, and export revenues were 1.27 billion Yuan, up 220%. And export revenues take about 15% of Beiben sales of trucks. Beiben exported over 5,000 trucks and chassis last year, up 70%, and their products are sold in Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia.

1,100 CAMC trucks sold Jan. to July, up 72%

CAMC exported less than 900 trucks in 2010, and they have secured truck orders for 1,100 units from Jan. to July, up 72% over last year. These orders include 150 mining dumpers to Indonesia, 400 heavy trucks to Indonesia, and 200 Xingkaima heavy trucks to Saudi Arabia. CAMC overseas sales targets this year are 1,500 units, up 20%. CAMC trucks have been exported to over 60 countries, including Vietnam and Algeria.

SIH export of heavy trucks increase Jan. to July

23,947 SIH heavy trucks were sold from Jan. to July, up 9.43%, and the export volumes were not that large as Sinotruk and Shaanxi Auto. Overseas sales will be better in the second half year, and their export sales targets are 1,000 units this year. SIH secured "Gulf authentication" and "Excellent auto Export Company" in 2011.
