Production and sales data of China cargo vans in Sept.
www.chinatrucks.com: According to data by CAAM, 2,976,200 commercial vehicles and 3,095,700 units were produced and sold from Jan. to Sept, down 7.37% and 4.79%, in which, 2,006,900 cargo vans were produced, and 2,075,400 units were sold, down 4.48% and 2.36%, 188,600 semi-trailer tractors and 198,600 units were produced and sold, down 31.39% and 28.09%, and production and sales volumes of van chassis are 434,700 units and 465,300 units, down 16.07% and 11.4%.
Production and sales volumes of commercial vehicles were 327,000 units and 326,600 units in Sept., up 18.39% and 14.23% over August, and down 10.29% and 5.92% over last year. The production and sales volumes of cargo vans were 219,200 units and 217,500 units in Sept., up 19.66% and 15.63% over August, and up 9.48% and 4.35% over last year; and production and sales of semi-trailer tractors were 24,700 units and 23,600 units, up 22.58% and 11.06% over August, and down 9.92% and 11.20% over last year; and production and sales of truck chassis were 37,900 units and 39,500 units, up 22.96% and 13.61% over August and down 28.89% and 22.87% over last year.
Heavy trucks
Production and sales of heavy trucks, including truck chassis and semi-trailer tractors, were 59,312 units and 60,669 units in Sept, down 16.57% and 12.56% over last year. And the figures were 657,791 units and 712,036 units from Jan. to Sept, down 15.77% and 9.78% over last year. And the top five truck sellers are Dongfeng, FAW, Sinotruk, Foton and Shaanxi Auto, and their sales volumes were 150,449 units, 125,380 units, 119,249 units, 85,839 units and 81,209 units.
Medium trucks
Production and sales of medium trucks, including truck chassis, were 23,151 units and 22,002 units in Sept, down 3.23% and 9.17% over last year. And the figures were 218,019 units and 214,653 units from Jan. to Sept, up 5.93% and 2.61% over last year. And the top three truck sellers are Dongfeng, FAW and Lifan Auto, and their sales volumes were 64,099 units, 33,847 units and 20,334 units, accounting 55.1% of market shares.
Light trucks
Production and sales of light trucks, including truck chassis, were 159,313 units and 155,662 units in Sept, down 11.02% and 7.19% over last year. And the figures were 1,399,482 units and 1,442,793 units from Jan. to Sept, down 6.41% and 5.18% over last year. And the top three truck sellers are Foton, Dongfeng and JAC, and their sales volumes were 312,427 units, 172,706 units and 150,315 units, accounting 44.04% of market shares.
