Sales of heavy trucks low in Jan. sales expected to up 50% in Feb.
www.chinatrucks.com: Sales of China heavy trucks were gloomy in Jan., and many truck makers cannot feel the spring of the markets. Many industry insiders think that sales of heavy trucks may be up 50% in Feb.
Sales of heavy tractors slide in Jan.
Sales of heavy trucks decreased by 55% in Jan. due to the Spring Festival as markets expected.
229,198 trucks were sold by 79 commercial vehicle makers in Jan. down 28.54% over last month and down 37.16% over last year, according to CAAM. 38,001 heavy trucks were sold in China, down 32.3% over last month, and down 55.15% over last year, and 11,851 heavy cargo vans, 13,876 heavy chassis and 12,274 semi-trailer tractors were sold, down 52.4%, 63.67% and 43.27%.
Dongfeng tops China heavy truck makers, Chengdu Dayun and Hubei Sanhuan sales growth up temporarily.
Similar to truck sales last year, Dongfeng toped the sales in Jan., down 51.96%, and Sinotruk ranked the second, down 49.62%, and FAW ranked the third. Sales of Shaanxi Auto and Foton Auman slided largely, and sales of Chengdu Dayun and Hubei Sanhuan increased dramatically.

Sales of heavy trucks decreased a lot affected the Spring Festival, and February is the traditional hot sales season for heavy trucks, and we predict that about 120,000 trucks will be sold in Feb. and March.
