A market with a value of 74,830 billion Yuan luring world Truck makers
In 2007, total value of China logistics industry reached 74,830 billion Yuan, which supplies a hot opportunity for world auto makers. The economy of China is still developing fast and its market is booming. The rise of China economy needs the support of logistics industry.
According to statistics of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, the total value of China logistics industry in last year increased 25.5% y-o-y and value added in the industry was 1,680 billion Yuan, increased 18.8% y-o-y. The quick developing logistics industry is playing more and more important role in industrial structure optimization, economy growth mode transformation and pushing the development of national economy.
However, in recent years there were some bad accidents regarding dangerous gas and liquid leak, which did great damages to people’s lives and environment. As a major conveyance vehicle, truck plays a very important role in transporting dangerous articles. Truck makers such as Volvo and Benz are endeavored to supply better and safer services to China logistics industry. Volvo truck is supplying logistics solutions to customers and by focusing on quality, safety and environmental care, and by pushing forward HSEQ standard in chemical industry, Volvo has gained a high fame in dangerous article transportation industry. Recently, Volvo is developing its market in Southwest China, where Volvo has just sold 12 tractors to Chengdu Anda Company which transports pre-determined volume LNG (liquid natural gas) from Chengdu Longquan LNG production site to receiving stations in Jiangxi and Guizhou with in time.
Lured by the enormous China auto market, Germany Benz is not satisfied with only developing in passenger vehicle market. Its conveyance vehicles are ready to expand in the luring place. Before some projects invite public bidding, Benz not only showed its competitive engines and its vehicle maneuverability to customers but also showed its vehicle’s max protection to driver & transported articles by its vehicle active safe system and vehicle passive safe system. In addition, according to different conditions and bad environments its vehicle electric systems can supply a whole conveyance plan for drivers.
It is learned that, there will be many new faces during the oncoming 2008 Beijing International Auto Show. Manufacturers such as FAW and Dongfeng have developed new products for the industry. There will be a forum during the Auto show, by which China logistics companies will get chances to exchange ideas with experts on a technical level.
