100 CAMC CNG Heavy Trucks Exported to Thailand
THAILAND -- On March 4, 100 CAMC CNG tractors are loaded at Shanghai port, to be shipped to Bangkok, Thailand.
The customer to which these CNG tractors to be delivered is called DOUBLE A, a well-known paper group in Thailand. Due to its presence throughout the entire South East Asia, DOUBLE A has a high volume of transportation. Upon arrival, these vehicles will be used mainly for transporting paper materials from the port to the plant.
In recent years, the Thai government has been promoting the use of natural gas vehicles. To support the government's efforts, DOUBLE A decides to introduce a number of high quality, high standard CNG tractor trucks.
At the initial period of procurement, the company conducted some comparative studies and site visits, and found that CAMC had a better overall performance compared to its competitors and chose CAMC. In May last year, the first CNG truck exported to Thailand by CAMC was delivered to DOUBLEA. After being in service for some time, CAMC CNG tractor was proved to be of good quality and high performance.
International oil prices continue to fall as a result of the global financial crisis. However, DOUBLEA Thailand believes that natural gas trucks are more cost effective and hopes to purchase more CNG trucks in the future.
