Domestic automakers striving to get stronger
(chinatrucks.com, Mar.08, 2010)In 2009,with the issuance of a series of policies on promoting auto consumption and the stabilization and recovery of China's economic situation, domestic auto market recovered rapidly and showed a rapid development trend.
The auto output and sales volume in 2009 was 13.791 million and 13.6448 million sets, up nearly 50 percent year on year respectively. China's auto industry that has stridden over the milestone of 10 million sets and realized "big scale" is walking forwards the target of being powerful.
"For China, to become a true auto power, the quality of auto products is cannot be neglected." At the Summit Forum on the Quality of China's Autos with Self-owned Brands held recently, a consensus has been reached among conference participants. China's autos with self-owned brands have entered the year of 2010, which makes "quality" the central theme.
In fact, China's automakers with self-owned brands have been attaching great importance to improving auto products' quality for several years. In this case, more and more consumers have selected the autos with self-owned brands. Consumers' recognition has also increased the market share of the autos with self-owned brands greatly.
Statistics from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) shows that in 2009, the total sales volume of China's passenger cars with self-owned brands is 4.577 million sets, occupying 44 percent of the total sales volume of passenger cars and up 4 percentage points than that of last year.
