Foton Heavy Trucks to Increase Production Capacity
www.chinatrucks.com: Production and sales volumes of Foton heavy trucks decreased a little in Jan. 62,510 Foton were produced, down 4.5%, and 49,994 units were sold, down 6.3%. Among which, 9,852 Foton medium and heavy trucks were produced, up 14.7% and the sales were 6,051 units, down 26.1%. Production volumes of light trucks amounted to 49,653 units, down 6.4%, and 40,761 light trucks were sold out, down 0.5%.
Foton’s market share on heavy truck may increase, as many as 105,000 Auman trucks were produced and sold last year. Currently it predicts that 150,000 Foton heavy trucks will be sold in 2011.
National four emission standard will be carries out in 2012, and this measure will promote sales of light trucks in 2011.
