North Heavy Industries Group Electric Sanitation Truck Makes a Spectacular Debut
www.chinatrucks.com: Recently, an electric sanitation truck, designed by North Heavy Industries Group New Product Research Institute, made its spectacular debut. As the first electric compression-type garbage truck in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the truck was delivered to Qingshan Dist. in Baotou for official operation.
Different from traditional garbage truck, the new truck model is equipped with electrically powered chassis. Wholly powered by iron phosphate lithium battery, the truck is able to drive at an maximum speed of 80 km/h. Without producing any exhaust, the new truck is capable of driving 150 km continuously after being fully recharged in just less than four hours. Compared with the its predecessors which can drive 200 km after a refill of a full tank of fuel worth about 400 RMB, the environmentally friendly truck is ideal for cost-conscious truck operators as it only costs 100 RMB for power recharge.
