www.chinatruck.com: The Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), the organization that deals specifically with trucks, buses, and other commercial mobility solutions, is looking to hold their own motorshow soon.
The first ever Truck and Bus Show is looking to be staged by the TMA this year. The show, much like the bi-ennial Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) held by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) will featuring the latest light, medium and heavy duty trucks and buses from their member companies.
The Truck Manufacturers Association is still in the early planning stages for the show. As such, there are no details yet as to the venue, though the most likely locations will be either World Trade Center Manila or the SMX Convention Center in MOA given the size and scale of the vehicles. TMA has released no exact dates yet though it has been indicated that they are targeting to hold it by third quarter in 2017.
Like CAMPI, the Truck Manufacturers Association is a part of the Federation of Automotive Industries of the Philippines (FAIP). The current members of TMA are Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (Fuso), Ford Motor Company Philippines, Isuzu Philippines Corporation, Pilipinas Hino, Jinbei Auto, MAN Trucks, Tata Motors, BAIC and CMC. Expect exhibits from these member companies at the show if TMA pushes through with the event.
