Production and Sales of Medium Trucks and Heavy Trucks in August
www.chinatrucks.com: Statistics of CAAM indicated that Chinese truck manufacturers produced 182,784 units and sold 197,744 units of trucks (incomplete truck and semi-tractor and trailer included) in August, 2014, down by 7.60% and 6.87% respectively over last month, and down by 26.03% and 21.08% respectively year on year.
Production and sales of heavy trucks:
In August, the production and sales volumes of heavy trucks (incomplete truck and semi-tractor and trailer included) were 43,008 units and 48,126 units, down by 10.18% and 4.92% respectively compared with last month, down by 17.44% and 6.64% respectively year on year.
And top 5 heavy truck makers on production were FAW, Dongfeng, SHANCMAN, SINOTRUCK and Beiqi FOTON that their production volumes in sequence were 8,023 units, 8,019 units, 7,694 units, 6,249 units and 4,615 units, and they totally produced 34,600 units, taking 80.45% shares.
According to the chart, compared with last month, only FAW of the top 5 produced more trucks which ranked NO.1.. Compared with last year, just the production of SHANCMAN achieved up.
Top 5 heavy truck manufacturers on sales were DONGFENG, Faw, Sinotruk, SHACMAN and Beiqi Foton, that their sales volumes in sequence were 9,949 units, 7,999 units, 7,897 units, 7,675 units and 5,924 units, and all together they sold 39,444 units, taking 81.96% shares of the total 48,126 units sales volumes.
According to the chart, compared with last month, only Faw and Sinotruk of the top 5 sold more trucks. Compared with last year, Dongfeng has become the highest growth rate of top 5 at a rate of 22.90% which ranked in the NO.1.
Production and sales of medium truck:
In August, the production and sales volumes of medium trucks (incomplete truck included) were 16,359 units and 16,109 units, down by 0.94% and 7.54% respectively compared with last month, down by 8.69% and 6.58% respectively year on year.
And top 5 medium truck makers on production were DONGFENG, FAW, LIFAN, Sinotruk and QINGLING, that their production volumes in sequence were 4,892 units, 4,166 units, 2,427 units, 1,886 units and 1,148 units, and they totally produced 14,519 units, taking 88.75% shares.
Top 5 medium truck manufacturers on sales were DONGFENG, FAW, Lifan, Sinotruk and Qingling, that their sales volumes in sequence were 4,425 units, 3,964 units, 2,815 units, 1,563 units and 1,062 units, and all together they sold 13,829 units, taking 85.85% shares of the total 16,109 units sales volumes.
