As the engine provider for Jiefang, Xichai has played a key role in helping Jiefang expand its market. Lion Bridge Capital (China) Co., Ltd., a foreign-funded enterprise, bought over 1,000 units Jiefang heavy-duty trucks in just four years, including 256 units 13-liter Jiefang J6. Xinjiang Hetian Shuntong Transport Company bought a batch of Jiefang J5P trucks equipped with Xichai Aowei CA6DL1-31 engines in May, 2005. After driving two million kilometers in nine years, these vehicles were still in very good conditions.
In the overseas market, Jiefang trucks with Xichai engines have already earned a solid reputation. Take South African market for example, Jiefang boasts the largest sales volume among all truck brands from China.
