SINOTRUK Products Saw Growing Popularity in Vietnam
Sinotruk was one of China's first heavy vehicle manufacturers to begin exploring overseas markets. SINOTRUK made it a corporate strategy to go global as early as 2004, and have been China's largest heavy truck exporter for 17 years in a row, reporting more than 76,000 heavy-duty trucks exported alone in the first 10 months of this year. To date, SINOTRUK products have now been exported to more than 117 countries across the globe.
In November 2022, SINOTRUK became the first company in China to export more than 10,000 heavy trucks in a single month, marking another milestone in the export history of China's heavy commercial vehicles.
To better meet local demands, it has also built more than 20 assembly plants in countries like the Philippines, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Brazil and Vietnam to offer tailor-made models.
As early as 2007, SINOTRUK has made its official entry into Vietnam by partnering with TMT (the number one truck manufacturer in Vietnam) . In June 2019, the company's Euro 5 emission-compliant models were presented at TMT's event and announced further improvements to its after-sales service in Vietnam. Sinotruk Group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Daehan Motors shortly afterwards, the official manufacturer and distributor of Howo-Sinotruk brand in Vietnam market, to produce and assemble Sinotruk vehicles including dumpers and mixers fully complying with imported vehicle standards.
Currently, SINOTRUK ranks first among Chinese truck brands in Vietnam and has now deployed more than 70,000 trucks in the Vietnamese market. You can see how large this number is by comparing it to the annual truck sales in Vietnam in 2021, which stood at 68,000 units.
After years’ hard work, Sinotruk has become a well-recognized brand in Vietnam with its sales & service network reaching every big city in the country. In recent three years, the brand has maintained more than 30% market share of the local heavy-duty truck market.
With an effort to diversify product lines as well as to meet the increasing demands of the market, SINOTRUK products with top quality will increasingly win customers’ trust and certainly become their first choice in future.
