Great Wall Motors Sold Over 20 Thousand Pickups in August, Up 80 Percent YOY
According to official figures, China’s pickup sales grew by 36 percent in August of 2020 to 41 thousand units from the previous year.

Great wall held a market share of nearly 50 percent. That’s to say, one out of every two pickup trucks sold in China is Great wall pickup, which is a rare achievement made in automobile and any other manufacturing industry.
Notably, August pickup sales amounted to 20,951 units, a 80 percent increase over 2019. It is already the fourth continuous month that an over-20-thousand pickup sales is made in 2020, 11.1 thousand units of which is “P” series pickups.
Great Wall Pickup has stayed on top for 22 consecutive years in domestic and export sales. Great Wall Pickup’s total sales around the world has reached 1.8 million units with a market share of nearly 50 percent.
At the 2020 China Shijiazhuang International AutoExpo in September, Greal Wall officially launched the diesel “P” series pickup with 8AT. Powered by a GW4D20M engine developed by Great Wall, it can produce 400M.m of maximum torque, the greatest among all mass-produced national-6 compliant pickups in China.
