Price of Commercial Truck: A 0.66% Sequential Drop in September

www.chinatrucks.com: As statistics shows (the statistics was released by the Price Monitoring Center of National Development and Reform Commission and covered 36 major cities), price drop was the theme in domestic vehicle market in September, the price of Chinese made vehicles and import vehicles fell at the same time. The price of Chinese made vehicles have been on the decline for a consecutive 5 months by September, reaching a 0.10% sequential drop and a 1.22% year-on-year drop. The price of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles were both on the downturn.
Price of commercial vehicles declined on a 0.10% sequential basis and a 0.84% year-on-year basis after a rise. Among which, commercial trucks reached a 0.66% sequential decline and a 0.89% year-on-year decline. For light trucks, medium trucks and heavy trucks, the price fell by 0.44%, 0.06% and 1.04% on a sequential basis respectively, meanwhile, 2.88%, -1.38% and -1.55% of year-on-year growth was also seen in these categories. For Commercial passenger vehicles, the price grew 0.32% compared with last month and declined on a 0.83% year-on-year basis. The price of light passenger vehicle almost stayed stable with 0.34% decline compared with last month. A 0.43% sequential growth and a 0.96% year-on-year drop were seen for large buses.
Price of import vehicles kept the downward trending, In September, price of import vehicles declined on a 0.04% sequential basis and 3.96% on a year-on-year basis. Among which, the price of import SUVs drop by 0.37% sequentially and 3.39% on a year-on-year basis. Meanwhile, the price of import limousines rose by 0.28% on a sequential basis and drop by 4.45% on a year-on-year basis.
Seen from the current trend, the price of domestic vehicles will continue to slightly drop in the forth quarter.
