National standard III light truck price down makes way for high end trucks
The NDRC price monitoring center released a monitoring result showing that influenced by raw materials price hike, commercial vehicle price rose 2.95% in July up 0.11% y-o-y.
However, after a continuing rise, cargo truck price declined 0.14% compared with Jun. Experts said it was caused by the National III light truck price cut rush in recent days.
It is a bit confusing why the price cut comes? Expert believes that the major reason is truck makers want to get more market share.
Presently, light truck market hasn’t been familiar with performances of national III light trucks and price hike is unacceptable to them. Light truck market demand is lagged widely.
To solve the problem, truck makers’ strategy is to push market demand up by price cut and once truck users have known the good performances of national III trucks they will put their more expensive high end light trucks on the market. It is an effective way to expand market.
