Export and Domestic Sales to Stimulate the Recovery of Heavy Truck Market
www.chinatrucks.com. According to the statistics from heavy truck manufacturers in Nov.2012, enquiry on engineering heavy truck was on the rise and the sales were to meet recovery. As told by Pang Da Auto, who’s the largest dealer in the North China for FAW, Sinotruk and Shaanxi Auto, the improvement in the engineering heavy truck market was caused mainly by the acceleration of infrastructure and the rapid replacement of vehicles.
Demands for heavy trucks are expected to meet a mild recovery in Nov.2012 because the year-end logistic demands may rise and the continual recovery of infrastructure investment, which will lead to the growth in heavy truck purchase.
Industrial inventory is relatively low. After a year of de-inventory, both manufacturers and dealers believe that the heavy truck industry inventory is at the relatively low level and little space for further drop. The key factor for the recovery is the rebound in demands of the downstream.
Export will be the new driving power for the heavy truck market. The domestic heavy truck market possesses great growth potential and is expected immensely by manufacturers. Foton predicts that the sales growth of the company will maintain over 30% in the following years and the capital expenditure will mainly concentrate on the overseas projects. Sinotruk estimates that the export in the future 3 years will account for 30% of the total sales with growth over 30%.
