S&P Consulting: Heavy Truck Market Faced with Severe Condition in the Second Half of 2012
Date:2012-10-22 Author:Daniel Source:www.chinatrucks.com
www.chinatrucks.com: Sales will surge to a climax in September and October every year, which is called the “Golden September and Silver October” for the automobile industry. In 2012, because the poor performance of the heavy truck market, insiders have more expectations for the traditional sales surging season of the “Golden September and Silver October”.
Machinery industry analysts from S&P Consulting pointed out that the sales climax has not come to meet the expectation of the market; the market gave a plain performance in September. The “Golden September and Silver October” plays a vital role for the heavy truck sales in the second half of 2012; however, with dealers’ gradually declining expectation for the traditional sales surging season, the heavy truck market may be affected in the second half of 2012.
The sales climax for heavy trucks usually comes in March, April and May, the so called “Golden September and Silver October” only accounts for a small portion. Though the current heavy truck market witnesses a fierce price war, with no promotion, customers will still keep the price at the lowest point. Therefore, the heavy truck market has much to worry about in the second half of 2012. The economic atmosphere and the distribution market are the main factors that will influence the prospect of the heavy truck market in the latter half of the year. With no improvement in the market, a promising prospect is not shown in the market.
As shown in the “Market Analysis and Development Research Report of Heavy Truck in China 2012-2016” released by S&P Consulting, though facing “Golden September and Silver October”, the promotion effect of heavy truck enterprises to the industry does not meet the expectations from the insiders. Presently, because of relatively fewer projects being launched, the needs for buying new trucks declined relatively, therefore, the market will basically stay in the poorly performed market in the second half of 2012. The heavy truck market needs to overcome obstacles to realize a steady and efficient development.
