Purico Expects to Benefit from National IV Emission Standard Policy
www.chinatrucks.com: With the increasing number of vehicles driving on the roads, the tail gas and emission of the vehicles now have worse and worse negative effects on the global environment and become the threat to the human living condition. For the diesel heavy vehicles, the policy requiring to the emission standard of the diesel heavy vehicles to be National IV will be released on July, 2013.
Luo Tong, Sales Director of Purico Company said that, after overall implementation of the National IV emission standard released, the amount of the ureal for vehicles are 4million~5million tons. And Purico Company hoped it will benefit from the government’s policy.
Current Emission Standards for China
Nitrogen oxide emissions in heavy-duty diesel vehicles were being reduced further by the introduction of new emission standards in China. The National IV Vehicle Exhaust Emission Standard, which is as equally stringent as Euro IV emission standard introduced in Europe, was the new legislation implemented in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhouby January 2010. More cities are widely expected to follow over the next 2 years. Only vehicles meeting the National IV Standard will be allowed to register to enter these cities.
Why choose SCR with AdBlue®?
AdBlue is a high-purity urea solution that chemically converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) in heavy-duty vehicles into harmless nitrogen gas and water vapour. It works with the vehicle’s SCR technology, which has been chosen by majority European, American and Asian, including Chinese, heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers to meet the new NOx emission standards. By choosing SCR technology with AdBlue, vehicle owners will enjoy significant savingsthrough lower diesel consumption. Diesel consumption can be reduced by up to 6%, which is significant given the high fuel prices.
AdBlue is neither a fuel nor fuel additive, and is injected into the exhaust system before chemically reacting with NOx in the catalyst compartment. It is not hazardous or harmful to the environment and is categorized under the minimum-risk category of transportable fluids. Having been a pioneer of the AdBlue market in Europe, Air1 brings all of its expertise, experience and knowledge to the Chinese market, thereby assisting the vehicle owners and operators to get a good start in adopting the SCR technology.
Purico is a joint venture between Yara, the largest ammonia producer and the largest AdBlue® supplier, and Sinofert, the largest integrated fertilizer supplier in China, that offers complete solutions for abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx).
