Foreign Capital Facilitates the Upgrading of Chinese Logistic Industry
www.chinatrucks.com: On November 26, 2013, associate counsel of Department of Circulation Industry Development of Ministry of Commerce Wang Xuanqing tells that foreign capital can facilitate to upgrade the level of Chinese logistics industry as it is a completely open area.
When talking about the influence of foreign capital on Chinese logistics industry, Wang Xuanqing says that foreign investment in logistic industry dates back to many years ago. For instance, in the express sector, there are many foreign express companies like FedEx, DHL and TNT. In the storage sector, foreign enterprises like GLP and AMB have already entered Chinese market. The entering of foreign enterprises is on the whole of great help to upgrade the overall level of logistics and of positive significance by introducing new technology and management mode.
Hence, from the view of the industry, we should encourage attracting more foreign capital, but at the same time we hope Chinese enterprises could learn from those foreigner enterprises and get stronger and stronger. For example, the express sector was largely controlled by foreign enterprises. Over recent years, however, Chinese express companies like SF, Yuantong, Zhongtong, Shentong and Yunda develop very fast. Thus to compete with foreign enterprises is helpful for Chinese logistics industry to develop towards a sound momentum.
