Cummins East Asia R&D Center New Base Began Operation
On November 25, our reporter learned that the construction of the Cummins East Asia R&D Center new base, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), has been completed and officially began operation.
Cummins' East Asia R&D Center's new base covers an area of 78,000 square meters. The new base is three times larger than the original R&D center, and the number of benches has increased to 28, including advanced engine test benches like performance benches, reliability benches, NVH benches, and cold start benches.
The new base also includes a new energy power research and development building, equipped with the latest fuel cell laboratory, power battery laboratory, transmission system laboratory, and complete wheel hub laboratory.
As a global leading power equipment manufacturer, Cummins has began its partnership with China since 1975 and was among the first foreign companies to localize production in China.
