Yutong, SCG Signed MoU for Green Mining in Thailand
Recently, a MOU signing ceremony for Thailand's first 5G + Smart Autonomous Vehicles Solution for Sustainable Industrial Advancement Project was successfully held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The shared idea has brought AIS, the leader in 5G technology in Thailand, Huawei, the leader in ICT technology, as well as partners from China, Yutong, an electric vehicle operator, and Waytous, an expert in autonomous vehicle systems for industry together to build green mining and protect our beautiful planet.
Among the representatives of the five parties that signed the MOU are Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopash, President of Siam Cement Group (SCG), Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, CEO of Thailand Advanced Info Services Public Co., Ltd. (AIS), Mr. Han Liao, President of Carrier Business Group, Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Professor Long Chen, CEO of Qingdao WAYTOUS Smart Machine Co., Ltd., and Mr. Zhiqiang Yu, CEO of Zhengzhou Yutong Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. Under the MOU, they agree to work together to open a new chapter in the construction of green and smart mines. Professor Biao Jiang, IEAS Academician and director of Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation Cooperation Center (CAS-ICC Bangkok), was invited to attend the ceremony and witness the signing of the contract.
The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCG; SET: SCC) is the largest and oldest cement and building material company in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Mr. Roongrote Rangsiyopash, President of SCG, said, “The world is moving toward an era of smart industries driven by new digital technologies. Also, SCG is pushing eco-friendly innovation to achieve the management of resources including raw materials, people, budgets, and time.
With complete marketing, R&D, supplying, manufacturing and service capacities, YUTONG GROUP has sold 170 000 new energy commercial vehicles all over the world. As early as 2018, YUTONG has launched an EV mining trucks, the first of its kind in China. With a dominating market share, Yutong battery electric mining trucks have served more than 100 mining sites with over 1,5oo days of safe operation."
