Dongfeng capacity is predicted to reach 1200,000
(chinatrucks.com, June 1, 2010) New plant of Dongfeng commercial vehicle heavy truck is established at Dongfeng industrious park of Dongfeng area on May 23, 2010.
Sales volume of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company is 111 thousands from January to April in 2010, and it has increased 138% by same time. The sales volume is equivalent to the annual production and sales volume in 2009, so the new plant is very urgent to be established.
The new base with 80,000 commercial vehicles capacity of Dongfeng will increase 2400 million euros. The other project is the second plant of Zhengzhou Nissan, which is invested 100 million euros by Dongfeng Company Limited, Dongfeng Auto, and Nissan China Investment Company. At present, the new plant has completed the assembly, welding, and coating workshops, and it will be put into production in September in 2010.
Dongfeng Nissan second factory foundation-laying ceremony is hold in Guangzhou on May 8, 2010. The new plant with overall investment 500 million euros will be put into production in 2012 according to the plan.
Production volume of Dongfeng Nissan in 2009 is 520,000, and sales volume in 2010 is 600,000. The maximum capacity of new plant has reached 240,000 and the current Huadu capacity is 360,000. The Huadu capacity of Dongfeng Nissan has been increased 600,000 and the maximum capacity has been surpassed 800,000.
