Environment protection is one of the three core values of Volvo Trucks. "Truck industry is closely related with environment, and Volvo Trucks is always trying to address these problems. Volvo treasures each drips of oil, and we are proud to have high-efficient trucks. We have made great effort to improve fuel prudent, such as truck driver fuel-efficient contest," explained Joachim Rosenberg, CEO of Volvo China.
Till this year, Volvo national driver fuel-efficient contest have been run for three years, and many participants benefit a lot in this process. Volvo truck driver club started to run last year.
Mr. Labat became excited when speaking of environment protection, "Volvo Truck is always leading on innovation on environmental protection, and we are trying to improve the fuel efficiency by 1% each year, and the figure will be 40% in forty years. And Volvo hopes to reach carbon neutrality in all their plants. Volvo is the only truck maker to cooperate with WWF. We would like the third party to check and audit our products, “said Eric Labat.
In addition, Volvo Truck is donating to construct Hope Schools, and recently Mr. Labat went to Kunming to see their 4th Hope School there.
