Yuchai YC20VC High-speed Diesel Engine Ignites
On December 18, Yuchai YC20VC high-speed diesel engine successfully ignited. YC20VC, another masterpiece after YC6T, YC6C, YC12VC and YC16VC, symbolizes the successful march of Yuchai’s middle-sized vehicle engine towards comprehensive high-power engine, embodies another improvement of Yuchai’s R&D team in designing and developing high-power engine, and marking the epoch-making significance.
YC20VC was produced with advanced technologies involving high-strength lightweight technology, high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology and efficient thermal management technology. The engine has reached international advanced standard in power performance, efficiency, emission and NVH, and meets the emission standard of non-road Euro III and IMO Tier III. It is also capable to touch the emission standard of non-road Euro IV once upgraded. According to the introduction of Yan Ping, President of the Board of Yuchai Group, the power of YC20VC crests at 4,200 kW, and the rotate speed 1,800 rpm, which fills the gap of high-speed diesel engines with power of 3,500 kW and beyond in China. YC20VC has reached the international advanced level in its product technical specification, and owns the completely independent intellectual property right, marking the leap on nationalization of major equipment. YC20VC can not only be applied to the power generation in such various fields as government agencies, large malls, traffic hubs and data centers, but also an ideal power choice for main engines of 1,000 to 1,500 tonnage public service vessels and auxiliary engines of 2,000 to 6,000 tonnage ones.
It is understood the successful development of YC20VC has extended the power range of Yuchai’s ships and engines, promoting the brand image and competitiveness of Yuchai. Moreover, YC20VC, which breaks the dominance of imported engines in the field of high-power and high-speed G-Drive Diesel Engine over 2,000 kW, will definitely boost the innovation on domestic power generation industry.(www.chinatrucks.com)
