MAN get a major order of 4700 trucks from Russia
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge and its sales subsidiary, MAN Avtomobili Rossiya, have closed two agreements with Russian customers to supply a total of 4,700 heavy trucks.
1,000 heavy MAN trucks have already been supplied to JSC TransKreditbank since 2007 and another 2,000 are now to follow by the beginning of 2009.
An initial option for a further 3,000 vehicles in 2009 was also agreed as part of a strategic partnership signed on Wednesday evening.
In the case of this transaction, JSC TransKreditbank is acting as a financier for Russian transport companies scheduled to purchase the trucks within the scope of national and international lease agreements.
A first delivery of 2,700 heavy trucks during 2008 was also agreed between MAN and the MIB Group.
The MIB Group operates a service centre for MAN Nutzfahrzeuge and is currently constructing additional service facilities within the Russian Federation.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge has already made provision for the deliveries agreed in its production planning up until 2009.Views:0
