Great Wall Motor released White Book in the 1st Chinese Pickup Culture Festival
(chinatrucks.com, Nov. 16, 2009)2009 the 1st Chinese Pickup Culture Festival was held in Boao, Hainan Province, China. This grand event was organized by the Association of China Automotive Industry, the Association of China Auto Circulation, and co-organized by Great Wall Motor Company. In the Culture Festival Great Wall Motor Company released Chinese Pickup White Book to the domestic auto customers, putting an end to the absence of Chinese Pickup culture.

Since 1998 when Great Wall pickup took the lead in the segment Great Wall has kept ranking No.1 for 11 consecutive years in the field in terms of market share, product range, export volume, market holding quantity …etc. At present the total market holding volume has reached nearly 700,000 units, nearly 500,000 units in domestic market, 200,000 units in overseas market respectively. According to the update data Great Wall Pickup takes the 1st position again with the aggregated sales volume of 52,000 units from Jan to Sep, 2009, which equals to the total market share of the 2nd and 3rd.

Great Wall Wingle is just the flagship model of high – end pickup. Wingle is fitted with INTEC engine with the fuel consumption of 5.9L per 100 Km, which is jointly developed by Great Wall Motor and Bosh Germany.
