IVECO Provides Ethanol-diesel Truck to Brazil
www.chinatrucks.com: Iveco Ethanol-diesel Truck, Trakker, developed by Iveco, Fiat Power and Bosch was shown in Agrishow in Brazil last week. The truck is equipped with Fiat Cursor 9 engine, and its fuel costs are lower than conventional diesel engine.
The sample vehicle is under tests by Cosan and Raízen, a joint venture by Shell. And its 40-60% ethanol-diesel matching can reduce 6% fuel costs. "This is the beginning of the truck, and we are hoping a high ratio to reduce operation costs, " explained Renato Mastrobuono, CDO Development of Iveco in Latin America.
Iveco Trakker duel-fuel truck is a 6x4 63-ton vehicle with multiple uses in sugarcane plantation.
