Foton Motors builds plant in India
www.chinatrucks.com: Recently Foton Motors releases announcement about setting new plant in India, and Foton Motors will invest 4,554,000,000 rupee, taking 99%, and Beijing Foton international Trade Company takes 1%.
The production ability in the first stage is 96,000 units, and the second stage are 120,000 units. The plant is going to run in July 2013.
India is the fourth largest commercial vehicles market, and the import duty are 24%, so the vehicles must be produced locally to make more profits. The Indian commercial vehicles markets are growing steadily as the booming economy locally. Indian commercial vehicle markets are similar to that of China markets ten years ago; and new emission standards and anti-overloading policies will drive product replacement fast.
