Foton builds plant in India to raise overseas sales up to 30%

www.chinatrucks.com: With approval with Daimler and plant-building in India, Foton is strengthening its overseas sales rather eagerly. 30% of their sales targets are for overseas in 2020, namely, 1,200,000 units out of 4,000,000 trucks.
As the fourth largest commercial vehicle market, the competition in India is rather fierce, and the major competitors include Tata, Daimler, MAN, Volvo, Hino, ISUZU and Navistar etc. Euro 4 emission standard is going to be carried out in 13 major cities in India since October last year, and regulations on overloading and years of use are also rather tough in India.
