Production & sales of trucks decreased Jan. to Oct.
www.chinatrucks.com: According to China Auto Industry Production & Sales Express released by CAAM recently, production and sales volumes of trucks decreased to some extent over last year.
208,400 trucks and 203,000 units were produced and sold in Oct., down 4.90% and 6.68% over that of Sept., down 8.76% and 10.83% over last year. 34,700 trucks and 37,300 truck chassis were produced and sold, down 8.44% and 5.36% over Sept. And 23,400 semi-trailer tractors and 23,500 units were produced and sold, down 23.38% and 20.93% over last year.
53,300 heavy trucks were produced in Oct., down 29.76%, and 57,000 units were sold, down 19.33%.
The first three heavy truck makers in terms of sales are Dongfeng, FAW, and Sinotruk, and their sales were 162,000 units, 138,600 units, 127,500 units, down 3.33%, 30.47% and 20.65%.
25,300 medium trucks were produced, up 9.34%, and 25,400 units were sold, up 12.62% over last year. And sales of medium trucks are the only truck models with increasing volumes.
