Sales Analysis on Foton Products in September
www.chinatrucks.com: According to Foton's sales data, it sells 55,000 units in September in total, up by 12.9% year on year and 14.6% over last month. The sales volume of engines is 15,000 units, up by 29.3% over last year but down by 2.1% over last month.
The year-on-year grow rate 12.9% is slight lower than the average of the commercial vehicle industry (13.3%).
From January to September, the company accumulates to sell 492,000 units, up by 5.8% over last year. Its MD and LD trucks see stable growth with a year-on-year growth rate of 42.3%; light buses grow by 47.9%; and light and micro trucks grow by 4.9%. The sales volume of all automotives is estimated to be 660,000 units (including MD and LD trucks), up by 7.1%.
The growth rate of MD and LD trucks is slightly lower than the industrial average
Foton sells 11,000 units of MD and LD trucks in September, up by 42.3% year on year and 18.7% over last month. From Jan. to Sep., the sales volume of MD and LD trucks grow by 33.1% to 93,000 units. The sales volume of Auman LD trucks is estimated to be 10,000 units with a growth rate lower than the industrial average (49.6%). The market share of Foton Daimler is estimated to rise.
The growth rate of light and micro trucks continue to rise.
In September, the company sells 40,000 units of light and micro trucks, up by 4.9% over last year and 15.0% over last month. From January to September, the sales volume accumulates to be 369,000 units, 1.0% lower than that in the same period of last year. The growth rates of high level Aumark and medium level Ollin will be higher than the industrial average. The sales volume of light and micro trucks in the whole year is estimated to be around 499,000 units, up by 0.4% year on year.
Sales of Cummins engines rise while Ollin engines slow down
In September, the company sells 15,000 units of engines, up by 29.3% over last year but down by 2.1% over last month. From January to September, the sales accumulate to be 139,000 units, up by 27.5% over last year. The sales volume of Cummins engines is 9,000 units, up by 57.3% over last year, and the sales volume of Ollin engines is 7,000 units, up by 5.6% over last year.
